Israel-Iran A Clever Love Story

It’s a contest with over 2 Million people in the Middle East and in the world, with more than 1 Million views on Youtube (“WE LOVE YOU”) that shows how open and free communication between people creates meaningful relations, fuels empathy, compassion, respect, friendship. It instills the love for freedom. Israel loves Iran may sound odd, but in the last year it has become a movement created by Ronny Edry and covered by the mass media (CNN, Aljazeera, BBC, ...) with hundreds of thousands of people on Facebook that want to express a clear unconventional thought. What our leaders are saying (in Iran, Israel, Palestine) doesn’t reflect our spirit, doesn’t correspond to our feelings: “We love you and we will never bomb your country” is what Israelis are saying to Iranians and it’s what Iranians are answering back to the Israelis. After all this is what should happen in a modern democracy: being aware that it's not just about me, but it's about the people, it's about being part of the context and playing a part in it. Where even the smallest part is the most valuable. This unconventional approach to the Middle East problem opens the horizon to a complete different scenario which seems brighter than the wins of war blowing since years now. That’s why this is a clever love story. For those lucky enough to live in a democracy where there aren’t enemies to bomb, this is also a further invitation to reflect on the true identity of the opponents we have to face in the daily civil debate.
